Team bid to make KN353 fully taxiable at Yorkshire museum

Douglas Dakota IV KN353 carried out a successful taxi trial at Elvington, Yorkshire, on May 7. It completed two tests, the first being a general slow handling run of about 20 minutes to check all systems. The second was a longer run which included two trips down the runway. A few small snags were found, which would not have been identified without the trials. All are rectifiable and the aircraft handled very well. With the successful tests completed, the Dakota team at Elvington should now be able to get KN353 into a fully taxiable condition. WITH THANKS TO IAN FINCH
