A new app enables users to take a 360° Virtual Tour inside the flight test aircraft Concorde 101 G-AXDN including an exclusive view inside the Duxford-based aircraft’s cockpit.
Highlights include videos of the nose being lowered and 101’s final landing at Duxford in 1977.
BAC/ Aerospatiale Concorde 101 G-AXDN was the first pre-production aircraft, built for flight testing. 101 is part of the British Airliner Collection owned and preserved by the Duxford Aviation Society based at IWM Duxford.
Users can explore inside the aircraft using high quality 360° images, watch videos, navigate detailed instrument information and see systems used on-board such as the ice station used to monitor ice build-up on the outside of the plane. Once downloaded, no internet connection is required to run the app or play the videos.
