FLYPAST MAGAZINE – ASSISTANT EDITOR WANTED!
We are adding to the FlyPast magazine team!
Key Publishing’s FlyPast magazine, Britain’s biggest-selling monthly publication for vintage aviation enthusiasts, needs an Assistant Editor. We are now looking for a talented and confident Assistant Editor, reporting to the Editor. Ideally you will have journalistic experience, excellent grammar and a basic knowledge of InDesign (although ongoing coaching will be available), but aviation history should course through your veins. You’ll need to know your Mustangs from your Mosquitos and have a keen interest in all manner of vintage flying subjects.
What will be expected of you in supporting the editorial team is:
Managing/briefing of FlyPast contributors and editing their articles
Reporting on airshows and other aircraft-related events
Interviewing warbird operators/restorers and writing news stories
Assisting the advertising and marketing teams
Knowledge of social media and digital marketing

This is a full-time role at our offices in Stamford, Lincolnshire, with an annual salary of £20k – £22k, depending on experience. Some weekend work and UK/foreign travel should be expected.
If you are full of ideas for engaging and exciting editorial features for FlyPast, please email your CV and a covering letter to the Editor, Chris Clifford, by January 31, 2019.
