Spanish Orion completed for static display

Photo: PHOTO BY ROBERTO YÁÑEZ

After several years in open storage, Lockheed P-3A Orion P.3-03/221-22 has been restored and put on display at the main gate of Morón air base, near Seville, Spain. The aircraft has been returned to the distinctive white and grey scheme it wore when entering service with the Spanish Air Force in 1973. The 1965-built machine had previously been in US Navy hands.
